Dr Saumya Sekhar Jenasamant is one of the few cardiac surgeons in the country who is trained in Heart & Lung Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support. Specialized in Heart and Lung transplants, Dr. Jenasamant manages patients with Heart failure, evaluates patients for transplant candidacy, performs the transplant surgeries, and manages post-operative care to ensure optimal recovery and long-term outcomes. Dr. Jenasamant is proficient in the use of mechanical circulatory devices such as ventricular assist devices (VADs) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) systems. These devices are crucial for providing temporary or long-term support to the heart and lungs of patients in cardiogenic shock, stabilizing their condition and improving their chances of recovery.
